Auditions:

Auditions close 1st October 2024.

Audition to be filmed and uploaded as a private unlisted video to Youtube with the link supplied below in this form. May also be sent via email to info@marlboroughacademyofmusic.com or to our Facebook page via messages.

Video must contain the following:

• Introduce yourself! Tell us all about you, your age, what you enjoy doing, and any dance, singing, or performing experience you have (don't worry if it's not much!)
• Sing 1 minute of a song. Ideally this should be musical theatre but any song is acceptable. You can sing along to a backing track on youtube or to the original but we must be able to hear you clearly.
• Prepare and perform the dance choreography provided at this link. Only the first minute of the video is required.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGXk0bXDrVM&t=53s 
• Prepare and perform one of the following short monologues. You can do any of them no matter the gender of the character. You are welcome to have the words in front of you but make sure to look into the camera and not constantly stare at the words. We want to see you! • Tell us why you'd like to be a part of the team!

Student age: Students must be between the ages of 11 -18 years of age during the time of travel. This means that students must be born between 28th May 2007 and 17th May 2015.

Chaperones / additional family members: Students aged under 15 years old at the time of travel must bring a chaperone aged 18 years plus. They are able to be chaperoned by another chaperone going on the trip by personal arrangement between families. Students aged 15-18 years old at the time of the trip are able to be chaperoned by the Director and Choreographer. Parents and siblings over 5 years of age are welcome to join us as "tour chaperones" and are required to be registered as a trip participant. Family members and friends are not allowed to "cling on" to the trip by booking similar flights and hotels but not registering to be part of the trip.

Deposit date: 29th October 2024 - $1000AUD per person

Conditions:

• All successful auditionees and tour participants must hold a valid passport, or be willing to arrange one if offered a place on the adventure. 
• All chaperones must hold a valid working with children check at time of making the second deposit. 
• Students must have approval from their parent/ guardian to audition.
